When you join the Upper Hutt Martial Arts Academy we charge you a Membership Fee.
Our Membership Fees provide you with structured progress, coaching, community, consistency, and long-term development.
Membership Fees are based on how many classes you attend per week. You don't have to choose any particular nights to train; instead, you decide week by week which class(es) best suit you or your children. If you miss a class in any particular week, you may do a catch-up class whenever it suits you.
The Membership Fee is paid regularly whether or not you decide to attend classes - e.g., on the same basis as most gyms. Our fee calculations are based on 10 months of actual training a year per student (to allow for holidays, etc.). This is spread over the entire year to simplify paying and collecting membership fees.
Membership Fees are also payable in advance, and most people pay them fortnightly or monthly, as these suit their pay cycles. However, you can also pay on a different cycle (e.g., weekly, quarterly, annually, etc.).
A Family Discount may apply to members of an immediate family who live together. Full fees are charged to the family member with the highest applicable class fee, and then each subsequent family member is charged 50% of their relevant class fee.
We offer year-round training. We do not stop for school term breaks or break for an extended period over Summer. We only cancel classes on public holidays and for about 2 - 3 weeks over the Christmas/New Year period. This is factored into our Membership Fees.
We do not offer Casual Classes.
